Sponsorship 
 
Refugee Network Barrie  
18 groups (including The Burton Group and The Grace United Church Group, ) are rallying to establish support to sponsor refugees. A Facebook page has been set up to co-ordinate their efforts. Bradford West Gwillimbury 
Interfaith/interdenominational group BRIDG is fundraising to support a family of 11 from Syria that will be relocating to the area. For more information contact Rev Jim Keenan from the Bradford United Church at 905-751-5335 or by email at revkeenan@gmail.com 
 
Coldwater and Area Refugee Sponsorship Team (CARSTEAM) 
Predominantly faith-based congregations in Coldwater area applying for sponsorship of a refugee family through the BVOR program. Presbyterian Church in Canada is the SAH. Group includes local Presbyterian, United, Anglican congregations and individuals. Collingwood Syrian Family Sponsorship 
Formal volunteer community group, associated with the United, Anglican Church and Presbyterian Church is sponsoring three families from Syria to Collingwood. Funds raised throughout the Collingwood community support these families for one year, in regard to their welcome to the community; their family budget; housing; transportation; education/schooling for their children; job opportunities; food; translation etc. Financial onations are still welcome and tax receipts can be provided. Out of a War Zone - Creemore/Mono 
Formal group working with the Canadian Unitarian Council in order to sponsor a Syrian family. Application has already been submitted and the group is currently awaiting news on the arrival of a family of 3. Georgian Bay Refugee Support Committee 
Group of individuals under support of St Mark's Anglican Lutheran Church in Midland formed in response the the Syrian refugee crisis and will be sponsoring a Syrian family. For more info or to donate Click Here.  
 
Innisfil Refugee Program 
The United Church and Anglican Church of Cookstown, Churchill, Stroud, Lefroy and Thornton, have joined together with the goal of sponsoring a refugee family of 5 individuals and have teamed up with the Anglican United Refugee Association to raise funds to sponsor a refugee family (which may or may not be Syrian) Donations may be put in the offering plate made at any participating church, a copy of the Sponsorship Contribution Form to be given with the donation is available Here. Donations may also be made through an e-transfer to the Churchill and Gilford United Church treasurer at https://www.facebook.com/groups/1581773295410199/?fref=ts 
 
Mariposans for Refugees (M4R) - Orillia 
A group of individuals from the Orillia community along with St Paul's Church has come together and formed the group M4R. This group is accepting financial donations to go towards sponsorship of Syrian refugee families to relocate to Orillia and area. Refugee Rescue South Simcoe 
A community group with members from all over South Simcoe working together to provide needed resources and collecting monetary donations to bring 2 Syrian Refugee families to the area. Financial donations may be made online Here or cheques may be made out to the Christian Reformed Church of Alliston, marked 'Rescue Refugee' in the memo field and mailed to 28 Downley Ave. Alliston ON.
